How it works, what it costs:

The first step is getting to know you, what is important to you, what is important to your clients.  Sometimes it’s fairly simple, sometimes it takes a little more time, but I have to figure out how to convey the emotions and qualities that will help you gain clients and increase your sales.  We’ll go over technical details, location information, color schemes and clothing selection as well.

On the day of the shoot, I’ll usually take a half hour to set up, we’ll shoot until I have the feeling that I want, usually 15-30 minutes, and I’ll make sure your pleased with what we have in the camera and that you don’t have that serial killer look in ALL of the pictures.

I’ll put proofs online the same or the next day, you can look at them and show your friends, and even have them vote on the best picture, because it’s really hard to be objective about pictures of yourself.  I’ll tell you which one I think is best too, as I am usually sure about what I was going for.  If we all disagree then I’ll rig the vote to make it look like your friends have gotten smarter and now agree with me!

You’ll make final selections, and then I’ll retouch the photographs.  Once you approve of what we have accomplished and I’ll provide a link for you to download the retouched high resolution image in color and black and white, images sized specifically for social media sites and files to match any other necessary specifications that you might have.

The online gallery can remain active indefinitely, if you want to look back, show friends or pick additional shots for retouching later, and I’ll archive the raw files onto digital media and drop that in the mail so that you can keep a more permanent high resolution ‘digital negative’ archive.  Copy it to your hard drive, store it in a safe place, try not to let kids play with it and it should last a really long time.  If you need it after a few years, though, unless it’s for your wake (did I just say that out loud?), let’s just take updated pictures, okay?

After we’re done, your business grows by leaps and bounds, you become wildly successful, lavish me with gifts of international chocolate, refer your 500 closest friends and we all live happily ever after.
